Alright... my modem went out... and then I tried to get a new one... and AT&T is on crazy right now...
Alright I'm headed into an Atlanta Film Festival 48 hour short film competiton next weekend... and I am the writer for the short. Don't know what genre yet... but I hope it is something good.
I know I was suppose to be be talking about self-distribution, but I'mma save that for the next blog. Right now, its important to talk about not being a dreamer, but a doer. I have been in Atlanta for the last six weeks, and I'm being patient, but I'm going to need this process to speed up, shoot I want to make that "GOOD" money.
Do I miss Chicago? A little bit, a very very little bit. I do miss my children.
As I move through this journey I will document it... cause...

Being a Director
"...how anyone can become a director without learning the craft of cinematography."
~Nicolas Roeg
This quote is huge in my desires for filmmaking. In fact, it was this thought that caused me to buy a Canon HV30 and do some cinematography work myself. As much as I love directing, being behind a camera is very exhilirating, challenging, and creative energy driving.
After buying the Canon HV30, I have done 4 music videos and 6 short films (which is a feature film I wrote called, THINGS FALL APART).
Lately I have been witnessing the smoke-up-the-ass trick. What I mean by that is I have talked other "wanna-be" filmmakers and they get all geeked up to work with me, and then they meet a whiteboy filmmaker, and they decide to roll with his skills and not mine.
Now, I'm not going to make this a racial thing, cause for me its not, what I will do is let all these "green" filmmakers know...
